Ok so after pitching our initial ideas to get green lighted by the rest of the students I have had some fantastic feedback.
My tutors were concerned however that this as a solo project might be a little bit impossible for just me to handle. However after the pitch many members wished to help and work with me on my idea, so its very encouraging to say the least.
-The main point brought up was to really emphasize the progression of the ponies suffering as his load is stacked higher and higher, this can be done both through literal stacking as time progresses and/ or with the use of the gaits of movement.
-To try and shorten the movie down, so to cut out any unnecessary scenes as it lightens my load too in having to animate it.
-The use of sound (I need to look into)
-Progression of the layouts getting darker and gloomier, more difficult terrain for the poor pony to climb over.
-Films suggested that I watch are :Road to Eldorado, Mulan and Tangled for the expressiveness of the horse characters.
(I really need to get the strain correct to gather empathy from the audience.)
I feel i'd like to get the actual hero characters involved more so that's something I'm going to be working on.
